(May 28, 2010) Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day (referring to decorating the graves of war dead), is a day to remember all those who have died in service to our country. The federal holiday is observed on the last Monday of May and many communities hold parades and services to honor American veterans.
Check out Recorder Community Newspapers and the blogs here at their websites for details of those observances as well as other happenings in the area.
Other groups and individuals interested in communicating online via a blog on their Recorder Newspaper's website are invited to call me at (908) 832-7420 or e-mail panderson@recordernewspapers.com. I will be happy to explain how to join the 40+ bloggers already using this 21st century multi-media tool to get out their messages over the Internet. It is simple and free.
